Martin Soorjoo is the co-founder of Legal Wellbeing. Over the past 15 years he has personally advised and coached well over a thousand lawyers and judges.
Martin practised at the Bar from 1990 until 2005, specialising in Judicial Review. Consistently recommended in Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500 as a 'Leader in his Field', and finalist for the 2004 Human Rights Lawyer of the Year, Martin appeared in a number of high profile cases, several of which went to the House of Lords and European Courts and two major public inquiries.
Throughout his career at the Bar, Martin trained other lawyers on behalf of various professional organisations, in his specialist fields.
Martin’s obsession with mastering stress began after being diagnosed in 2004 with a rare life threatening condition whereby acute stress can result in death within hours. Quite literally Martin’s life depends on his ability to master stress.
Martin is trained and certified in multiple stress reduction approaches including meditation, breathwork, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and has expertise in Performance Psychology, and Neuroscience. He is also a HeartMath Certified Coach. HeartMath is an advanced stress and resilience solution used by the military and other Tier 1 professionals.
Martin works with senior professionals in the UK and USA helping them to perform better under pressure and manage stress.
Gavin Andrews MBA, PGCHE , is the co-founder of Legal Wellbeing, a coach, trainer, consultant and wellbeing professional with expertise in self-regulation, resilience and biofeedback technologies. For the last 12 years he has led HeartMath UK and Ireland.
Gavin is an experienced trainer and has delivered workshops and programmes for many multinational corporations as well as lawyers, the military, universities and NHS.
Gavin has been personally practising Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback for 17 years and he has a deep knowledge of the technology, benefits of regular use and evidence base. He has trained hundreds of individuals as HeartMath Certified Coaches.
Gavin is a regular guest on podcasts and webinars and a contributing author of the book Empowerment in Health and Wellbeing.
In his previous careers Gavin led a commercial team for Guardian Newspapers and worked as a Leadership lecturer for Middlesex University Business School.
